May 11 Market Update: Mark McGwire 1987 Topps RC PSA 10

Itching to watch another documentary after “The Last Dance” finishes next Sunday? On June 14, “Long Gone Summer” releases featuring the 1998 home run title chase between Mark McGwire and Sammy Sosa. And if for some reason you can’t tell, the announcement was made on May 5, right when you see the 1987 Topps Mark McGwire PSA 10 double in value (95% increase from May 5 to May 6).

Is this documentary craze getting a bit overblown? This card was under $50 for the first four months of the year, and here comes a documentary and bang – a $200 card (789% increase in 2020). There are 1,056 PSA 10’s out of a total 9,946 graded. Realistically, what do you think this card should be worth? Did his steroid use keep you from buying this card?
