LeBron’s Jersey Madness Impacts Sports Card Market

alt="LeBron James Jersey Card"Analysis: Have you ever wondered how much more a jersey #’d card would sell for versus a random serial # of an all-time great? Well, here’s your test case. The LeBron James 2003/04 Topps Pristine Refractor RC #23/1999 BGS 9.5 sold for $5,520 on Sunday night via the PWCC Weekly Auction. The previous sale of this card, which was less than a month ago, sold for $2,250 on 2/16/23. That is a 145% increase from one sale to the next, and most of it is due to the jersey # difference while some might be attributed to his new scoring crown. If you have any serial #’d LeBron rookie cards, be sure to double check if they are #23!
